Spending my time in my home
The Philippines
My heritage
Seeing my family and all my cousins again was an amazing feeling. The last time I had visited them was in 2001 when I was about 9 years old. As a result, I hadn't really remembered much of that trip and I was only a young child. Now that I was an "adult" at the ripe age of 18, I feel like this trip was a lot more fulfilling as I was able to so much more with my cousins.
I went to a barber and got a classic shave, blade and all. I even went to get a massage from a blind masseuse.
All in all my trip was well worth the cost and I even have thoughts of coming back for
another visit.
When I came home, I was even greeted by a warm and friendly visit from one of my BEST friends and
we had our own little reunion as we went around the neighborhood talking about our trips and what we've missed.
Until then, remember that your roots follow you EVERYWHERE and you should ALWAYS
be proud of who you are.
Mabuhay Philippines!
